Preparedness for in-person meetings

Covid-19 Prevention Guidlines for In-Person Events

Monitor Yourself For Symptoms

It is important to monitor yourself and ones that you are near for symptoms. As Covid-19 evolves the symptoms can vary. These are some of the common syptoms. If you are or have been around someone experiencing any of these symptoms please do not attend the meeting.

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

Since the list of symptoms is changing it is best to check an updated list.

UW Vaccination Policy

Vaccinations are not required to attend meetings (at this time). However they are highly recommended.

Clean and Disinfect Sufaces

We will provide disposible wipes to allow attendees to disinfect frequently touched surfaces.

Contact Tracing

It is recommended that if possible people add Washington Exposure Notifications – WA Notify to their phones. This will help you be notified in the event you are in other environments in which you may have been exposed.

UW Face Covering Policy

Face coverings are required to be worn on site at the University of Washington,
regardless of vaccination status, indoors when other people are present and in all public and common areas, such as lobbies, hallways, stairways, restrooms, elevators, and in shared vehicles.

If you forget your mask for some reason we will have masks provided at the venue.

Handwashing

Along with the washrooms and the sink in the kitchen we will be providing hand sanitizer to provide for frequent opportunities for hand sanitization.
