Volunteering:
Please sign up to help host our shows - the event planners cannot do this without your support. Its a great way to meet members of the club, talk about plants, learn how people grow theirs, and learn about this hobby.
One important note: if you are planning on selling plants, you must sign up for at least one shift. You can learn more about the kind of opportunities available here.

AOS Judging & Plant Entry
We are excited to have back with us the American Orchid Society whose judging program will be at our show, looking at our plants. Plants should be well groomed, be bug free, and flowers staked. Your plants should have 2 tags in every pot, 1 for identifying the plant, and 1 for identifying the grower (name and contact info is enough). Arrange to have your plants arrive at the conservatory between 3pm - 6pm while our volunteers are setting up the displays.
Please document your list of plants you are bringing on the Plant Entry Form
If you feel capable of identifying the plant family your plant belongs to - this really helps judges organize their efforts, please include the schedule number for each plant you submit. Schedule detail can be found here
See the google drive folder where both files are kept
If using these forms this sounds like a daunting task, it would greatly help if we knew what you were bringing in advance, so you can simply send an email to events@nwos.org
Even if you feel your plant isn’t award-worthy, you should still submit it for its color and to showcase it to the public, who love seeing the variety of Orchids we bring.
Sales
There will be sales available in the lower greenhouse (there is a driveway to the east of the conservatory to reach the sales area). There are no admission fees for access to the sales area.
Volunteer experts will be available to help you at a re-potting table for people who wish to have their plants repotted for a small donation.
The sales area has very limited space, but we are excited to host 3 local Orchid Vendors:
